Team Horizon is seeking a CSA Lead for a leading pharmaceutical project in South Dublin.
This is a Civil Structural Architectural (CSA) Lead position. The candidate would be responsible for overseeing the CSA components of construction projects up to €50m in value. The CSA Lead will play a pivotal role in delivering construction and engineering projects on site. This individual will oversee the design, coordination, and execution of CSA packages, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements. What you will be doing:
- The candidate would be expected to work with some strategic guidance from their manager/peers but have the ability to work independently for the most part. It is important that the candidate has experience working on large projects – ideally another biopharmaceutical facility (or similar).
- They will be working in a fast paced atmosphere with multiple stakeholders.
- Managing these stakeholders, both construction contractors and key client personnel, is a key portion of the role.
- It is critical for this individual to understand that Safety, Quality and Compliance are our highest priorities in how we manage and perform our work.
- The CSA Lead will oversee design execution for all civil, structural and architectural scope of the projects.
- Coordination of external design contractors &, ensuring architectural/engineering information is coordinated to meet client requirements.
- Lead and manage the CSA scope of pharmaceutical construction projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Lead CSA design team & interface with end users collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and the facility insurers.
- Oversee design & planning submissions to ensure compliance with project specifications, pharmaceutical standards (GMP, cleanrooms), and regulatory requirements including local building codes regulatory frameworks, safety standards. and statutory compliance (e.g. BCAR).
- Oversee quality assurance for civil, structural & architectural, deliverables, ensuring accuracy throughout project life cycle.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor selection processes (incl. budget review.)
- Maintain and enforce strict adherence to quality control and safety policies incl. site reviews as required.
- Contribute to the standardization of Departmental Procedures, Check list and Guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, changes, and approvals.
What you need to apply:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture (preferred), Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional accreditation (e.g., Chartered Engineer or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil, structural, and architectural roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector.
- Proven experience in leading CSA packages on large-scale projects, including cleanrooms, laboratories, and manufacturing facilities.
- Strong knowledge of local building regulations, safety regulation & legislation, EU directives and risk management.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, cleanroom standards, and pharmaceutical facility design.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software.
