Project Engineer
Team Horizon is seeking a Project Engineer for a leading pharmaceutical company in North Dublin.
An engineering professional who, working with little or no supervision, applies advanced scientific knowledge, engineering knowledge, mathematics, and ingenuity to complete complex assignments related to one or more technical fields or disciplines. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts.

What you will be doing:
• Prepare agenda and reports for PMO meetings to ensure awareness of project progress and issues of interest to the Global Packaging team
• Supports department Long Range Plan (LRP) and Capital Plan submissions by analysing projects for accuracy and detail.
• Serves as department spokesperson on projects and/or programs. Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.
• Ensures awareness of project status and issues. Develops and presents project updates.
• Acts as the system owner for the PMO portfolio SharePoint application.
• Write project justifications (Request for Capital Expenditure),including savings analysis that may be generated with the investment.
• Initiate capital project ideas dealing with safety and quality improvement, capacity increase, and/or cost reduction.
• Supports department Long Range Plan (LRP) and Capital Plan submissions by analysing projects for accuracy and detail.
• All other duties as requested or assigned.
What you need to apply:
• A Bachelors Degree in Engineering, science, or closely related discipline is desired, or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence, with a desired 5+ years of significant engineering and/or operational experience.
• Has demonstrated excellence in breadth and depth within discipline and across disciplines. Interacts well with diverse groups within engineering and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
• Strong Project Management skills Listens to and understands others' points of view and articulates tactfully and respectfully one's own perspective orally, in writing, and in presentations.
• Works well with other engineers in a collaborative, fast-paced goal-driven environment.
• Strong presentation and management communication skills Possesses interpersonal skills to negotiate and reconcile differences.
• Strong meeting collaboration skills. Interacts well with diverse groups within engineering and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
• Has a technical background in health care, medical devices, pharmaceutical, biologics, or similar industries (preferred).
• Has demonstrated competency with financial systems and in fiscal control. Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PPT)
