Team Horizon is seeking a EHS Manager (12-month FTC) for our client in Mayo. Reporting to the Associate Director EHS, you will have the responsibility to ensure development and coordination of an effective EHS Program for all construction projects on site as well as for engineering, facilities, and maintenance activities, to ensure the health, safety, welfare and wellbeing of our employees, contractors, and local community onsite.

What you will be doing:
- Leading a group of EHS Professionals to develop and execute EHS plans, effectively supporting projects and engineering operations, and ensuring compliance and excellence in all aspects of EHS.
- Leading and overseeing key EHS Programs at the site, including but not limited to Contractor Safety; LOTO; Confined Space Entry; Hot Work; Work at Height; ATEX; Process Safety; Laser Safety; Machinery Safety; Electrical Safety.
- Driving a strong EHS culture in areas of responsibility, fostering an accident-free work environment.
- Ensuring appropriate risk assessment and mitigation in areas of responsibility.
- Collaborating with H.S.A. and other bodies as appropriate regarding construction projects and engineering operations at the site.
- Ensuring effective root cause analysis and implementation of CAPAs for any EHS incidents, injuries or near misses.
- Providing your Input to EHS Goal Setting, EHS Senior Management Reviews and Capital Planning Processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly reporting in areas of responsibility.
- Partnering with wider leadership team to ensure a strong embedded culture of EHS onsite.
- Any other duties as assigned.
What you need to apply:
- Third level degree in science, engineering, or health & safety.
- Health & safety qualified – minimum diploma level.
- Minimum 10 years relevant EHS experience.
- Knowledge and experience of leading EHS on construction projects and of EHS compliance requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisation, and decision-making skills.
- Good time management.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining close attention to detail.
